FANTASTIC FRANCESCA.......!
It wasn't a perfect finish to a wonderful week but Italian star Francesca Schiavone defeated an ailing Olga Govortsova in straight sets to win the 2009 KREMLIN CUP, her second title in as many as 12 attempts Schiavone started the match on a high note and after some resistance from the Belarusian, pocketed the opening set 6-3. As the injury took it's toll on Govortsova, the Italian solidified her grip on the match and won it in 77 minutes of play.
