Finally, Hsieh managed to get it right and earned victory in more than three hours. The Chinese contender won this error-ridden match, where both players offered too many freebies to each other and failed to maintain momentum, which swung like pendulum here. Hsieh had five match points in the second-set, but all went begging and then she played poorly in the final set too, but Robson helped her cause by making more unforced errors than her and also fumbled badly with her serve. In the end, Hsieh sailed home in three sets.
