The Hungarian opened the match amidst electric crowd support and raced to a quick 4-0 lead to eventually complete the set by 6 games to 2. The second set witnessed improved play from Schnyder but it wasn't enough to get past the home favourite who complete the win with a 6-2, 6-4 scoreiline.
