Men Doubles Final
A third consecutive victory in the tie against Czech Republic saw host nation Spain successfully defend their Davis Cup title. In a match that lasted two hours and 45 minutes, the Spanish duo of Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez outclassed the Czech pair of Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek in staright sets to win the fourth title in nine years.

Verdasco's service game opens with some solid serve and volley winners for a 30-0 lead and an astonishing overhead sets up game point at 40-15, which the Spanish duo duly convert and race to a 2-0 lead in the third set.

Spaniards are on a roll right now as they snatch the opening two points from the Czechs to race to a 0-30 lead, which Verdasco further consolidates with a perect lob winner. The Sanish duo of Verdasco and lopez got the decisive break in the eleventh game when verdasco's continued attacks at Berdych's weak net game fetched the host nation an elusive break. With an invincible lead now, Spain is pretty closer to defending the title.
