Djokovic comes out and congratulates Murray's team for an amazing week and then appreciates Murray's efforts and says to him that it was one great match. He talks about the record attendance and then moves to his team and thanks them for having the faith in him.
Murray: Congratualtions Nole, you deserved to win. He then congratulates the team and thanks the fans for all their support. He appreciates the tournament and says it is one of the best tournaments on the tour and thanks to the tournament directors. He thanks his team and apologizes for falling short.
Djokovic wins this pulsating, energy sapping match in just under 3 and half hours to win the Shanghai Masters. With 32 outstanding winners and 6 breaks of serves, Djokovic saved numerous match points to finally overcome the Scottish challenge in style. Murray was a touch slow in the final set and was broken once in the seventh game of the final set and that proved to be decisive. Congratulations to Novak Djokovic!
