Sharapova summed it up well as she served well and blasted her forehand at pin point precision. She came up with winners and took the break of serves at the right time to get ahead in the match. Sharapova served and followed up well to take 78% of the first serve points. She came up with three aces and 16 winners in the match to win in straight sets. Benesova could not recover from her errors as she committed 26 unforced error in the match as compared to her meager 6 winners of the match. As a result Sharapova won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to proceed further in the tournament

Sharapova shouts out "common" as she thunders out backhands down the line. Bensova seems to be just a spectator as the Russian gets her game in top gear and gets the double break of serve at the loss of a few points. Federer broke serve at an opportune point and took the final set. Federer cruised through the match and displayed magnificent backhands and penetrating forehands to take easy points in the match. He refused to get broken in the whole match as he served with great form and managed to take 80% of the first serve points as well as 65% of the second serve points. Federer barreled down 15 aces and churned out 29 winners in the match to win in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 to proceed further in the tournament 

Federer gets the serve at the right places and storms into the drivers seat. Beck continues to be erratic on his backhand side as he the strokes to worse standards. Federer holds serve and takes a lead at 5-3 in the third set. Beck has to hold serve to stay in the match

Beck holds serve and takes the serve with ease. He comes up with great serve of the lost and makes up for his double fault. Beck holds serve and manages to get closer at 3-4 in the third set. Federer still is a break and two sets ahead in the match 

Kuznetsova sails through with a dominant win and reaches the third round of the US Open 2010. The Russian did not give any chances to Sevastova after making quick in-roads into the match. Though Sevastova had a few chances, Kuznetsova made sure that she would not drag this match to complicate its proceedings for her - at any moment. The Russian smacked beautiful shots on both sides of the court to humble the Latvian. 

Sevastova saves a couple of match points on her serve and does remarkably well to gain her service game. She fends off the Russian in every department as she holds serve and gets closer at 3-5 in the second set. Sevastova has to break serve to stay in the match

Woznaicki worked a charming match for herself as she churned out a double beagle for herself in this match. She came up with blasting returns and massive serves to take each and every game of the match. She came out with all guns blazing as she denied Chang any opportunities to obtain a single game. Wozniacki shattered Chang in two straight sets 6-0, 6-0 to proceed further in the tournament

Wozniacki breaks serve yet again as she takes her 11th consecutive game of the match. The demolition continues as she takes charge of the situation with her phenomenal forehand returns to which Chang has no answer to. Wozniacki breaks serve and takes a commanding lead of 5-0 in the second set
